Another winter day in Wisconsin

Another winter day in Wisconsin has started... Husband and kids went to work and school respectively so I can work from home. Working from home has many privileges, I don't have to run like crazy in the morning trying to get ready myself and get the kids ready for school. I walk around in my bathrobe, get them out of the house and work for a while.

Interesting things are happening at work. Although our company posted record earnings last year and projected good earnings this year, they are still laying off(excuse me, resourcing) some people in our department. I don't like anticipating bad things :(

Kids are fine and fun. Emily, who is 9, recently told me "Mom, you don't have to constantly make me do stuff. I am a good kid. I get good grades and I have never been arrested". :) Yesterday, I registered Simon, who is almost 4 for school. He is going to go to K-4 in September. I can't wait for that excitement - both kids on the same bus out of the house at 8 in the morning !

My daughter is taking piano lessons and seems to be enjoying it. The music teacher is a very nice good looking guy who is patient with her - what's not to like :). I remembered my childhood music lessons(7 years of horrible experience with a teacher that was never happy) and decided to see if I still got it.. All right, back to work...

A couple of days ago I had a instant messenger meeting with a customer from another, much warmer country. When I told him that the temperatures in Wisconsin reached -25 C(-15 F) last week, he terrifyingly asked "They don't make you work in this weather, right?" :)

It is 20 F today and they still make us work...
